ocr: Two comets are seen moving in tandem through the Sun's corona in this LASCO C2 sequence. After dis- appearing behind the occulfer, the comets did not reappear. The comets are named C/1998 K10 (SO- HO-54) and C/1998 K1l (SOHO-55). This unusual event on Earth's own star was followed on 2 June 1998 by an ejection of solar gas and magnetic lields on the southwest (or lower right) limb of the Sun.
